MIAMI BEACH, FL – Bossa House Miami Beach, a new 97-room boutique hotel, will open in January 2027. The property marks Florida’s first hotel in IHG’s Vignette Collection. It occupies a restored Art Deco landmark in Miami Beach’s Mid-Beach neighbourhood.
Originally built in 1939 as the Copley Plaza Hotel, the property reflects architect Albert Anis’s design. It forms part of the Collins Waterfront Architectural District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Owners João Woiler, Sharon Cohen Woiler and Clemente Beda lead the hotel’s next chapter. Meanwhile, CL Hotels, founded by João Woiler in 2020, developed the property.
Brazilian culture shapes the guest experience
The hotel draws inspiration from saudade, a distinctly Brazilian feeling of longing. It describes the emotional connection to a person, place or experience. Accordingly, Bossa House aims to create a sophisticated yet unpretentious retreat centred on culture, connection and well-being.
Two further principles guide its hospitality approach: simpatia and gentileza. The first represents the warmth of a genuine welcome. The second reflects kindness and thoughtfulness towards others. Together, these values shape the hotel’s welcoming atmosphere.

“We wanted to create a place where we could share the richness of Brazilian culture with guests from around the world,” said Sharon Cohen Woiler. “Bossa House brings that vision to life through design, music, cuisine and experiences that reflect the spirit of Brazil while embracing the energy of Miami Beach. We welcome guests and locals alike to come together, feel at home and discover what makes Brazilian hospitality so special.”
Rooms, dining and outdoor spaces
Guest rooms and suites feature wood floors, plush bedding and 55-inch smart TVs. Additional amenities include music players, Nespresso coffee makers and minibars. Salvatore Ferragamo bath amenities complete the in-room offering.
Photographs of Rio de Janeiro, captured by co-owner Clemente Beda, add a personal touch. Accommodation options range from standard and premium king rooms to double queen rooms. The 579-square-foot Pool-View Suite offers separate living and sleeping areas. Connecting rooms are also available.

Ginga Restaurant takes its name from the Brazilian concept of rhythmic flow and movement. It will serve all-day dining inspired by Brazilian and Mediterranean flavours. The menu will include Brazilian churrasco and Mediterranean kebabs.
Next door, the Ginga Caipi Bar will focus on Brazil’s signature caipirinha cocktail. Variations will feature cachaça, vodka and sake. Guests can also share coxinha, hummus and falafel.
The tropical outdoor pool will feature chaise lounges, bossa nova music and poolside service from Ginga. In addition, a dedicated beach area will provide complimentary umbrellas, chairs and towels. Food and beverage service will also be available.
The 2,000-square-foot Hidden Garden will offer an open-air space for relaxation and wellness programming. Brazilian design company Tidelli will furnish the garden. Further facilities include a 24-hour fitness room with a Peloton bike. Guests can also enjoy complimentary daily one-hour e-bike rentals.
